Whether it’s your first time at camp or you’re a returning camper, packing the right items helps make sure you’re comfortable, prepared, and ready for all the fun.
Here’s a helpful guide of what to bring along to make the most of your camp experience.
Camp Essentials
A few important items will help you get the most out of your time:
- Bible, notebook, and something to write with– You’ll want these during morning watch, devotions, and quiet reflection time.
- Water bottle with your name on it– Staying hydrated is important, especially during outdoor activities.
- Any medications – Be sure these are clearly labeled and in the original bottle.
Bedding & Personal Items
Camp life includes cozy cabins, campfires, and lots of outdoor time, so don’t forget the basics:
- Sleeping bag and pillow
- Towels
- Toiletries (toothbrush, toothpaste, shampoo, soap, etc.)
Clothing for Camp Adventures
Camp weather can change quickly, and activities happen both day and night, so packing layers is always a good idea.

- Clothes you don’t mind getting wet for time in the creek

- Sweatshirts ($20–30)
- Beanies ($10)
- Hats ($10–20)
- Sunglasses ($5)

- Booster chair for younger campers (Family Camps) if they need one.
The Most Important Things to Bring
While packing lists are helpful, the most important things you bring to camp can’t fit in a suitcase:
- A smile
- A good attitude
- Enthusiasm for new experiences
